Yup Actually I tried a bag from sweetmarias after I posted the comment, but that was already years ago. It is not that bad, but I have to note that the high tones and character are missing compared to normal beans.  |

Agreed what you said, don't comment before you try it, I remember Landy was launching Decaf beans last year, get a 100g and see what happen  |

| Decaf actually is not that bad.
I have tried a few different decafs, and all of them use the Swiss Water Decaf process. Roasters will roast the beans (normally) to a darker roast for flavour. Being decaf, the flavour changes dramatically when it changes from hot to cold. (both in milk espresso, and cupping) I guess that's because they undergo different chemical reactions compared to caff. Do not trash it if you have not tried it. Buy some and try it. Never stop being curious, never stop being experimental! Some people do not have a choice, love coffee but are allergic to caffeine. Some are just pregnant! Most roasters choose to use Colombia/Guatemala/Mexican for decaf because it still holds certain amount of flavour. |
