these high end grinder always come with a coffee press, but not in the midranged or low-end devices.

does it imply that the makers suggest light temp w/ the high-end grinder ? or it's just another add-on the makes one more feature ?

I don't think so. Since these grinders are for commercial environment and it is convenient to tamp using the tamper attached to the grinder. Maybe you will get a canted tamp but really not many people cares about how the espresso taste. We are the exception rather than the norm.
