buy coffee pot cleanser from City Super will do the job.
I've oncce tried using Citric acid myself to clean it but it's too concentrated that will hurt the Aluminium that your Mocha pot can never be used again  |

buy coffee pot cleanser from City Super will do the job.

Use lemon juice to clean it,
I have 2 of Moka pots before.
One - famous brand Bia???? with the same problem you have.
** Even I keep it in the freezer after clean it.
One get it from ???????????????????
Their Moka pot without this problem at all- good for me.

My BIAXXXXX one also got the same problema and I did use leomon to soak it but sigh.....not much change. Then, I take some pure citritic acid from lab and it did shine back again briefly........and then became:
Therefore, I agree with that you should put into a freezer in order to avoid the Al corrosion or into a air tight container with oxygen absorbent after cleaning and drying. (but my fridge isn't that big enough.....if using a 6 or bigger BIAxxx)
Sigh....I finally turn to buying a stainless steel one instead.... |

One small bag called "coffee cleaner powder".....around $20 per bag in City Super shatin or Causeway Bay.
After cleaning, put it in the freezer.

This is the other moka pot I have, because the Bialetti easy to build up the THING we are talking about.
This one has been used for more than 3 years, there are some dirt by me - NOT clean enough ONLY.
