For new Espresso machine users like me, who are trying to learn from ?? like Landy and Pillowpaky... 
You may need to use a timer to time your Espresso pour...
and
You may need to use a thermometer to check your milk froth...
Here's one piece of equipment that will help you do both.
Its widely available in Hong Kong IKEA stores!

agree, I also got it, I use for syphon only.
it delay too much, I need to set the alarm in a lower temperature....
