It is clear the bean has been grounded too fine.

I have been using MSC2 and 4020 as yours and you need to loosen up the fineness adjustment screw on your MSC2 a few notches before reaching the perfect fineness. Try to loosen up one notch by one notch until the brewing time takes 25 to 30sec for 30 c.c.

Thanks mtx-4 sounds like there will be a lot of tuning and grounding to do, in-order to get 25 to 30sec for 30cc.

Once you get the hang of it, it will be more like fine tuning. Many C Hings here spend a few hundred grams to get the ground right.

"?????brewing ???=?????"

According to the experts here, flow rate depends on the following factors in order of importance :

1) ????, 2) dosage, 3) tamping

"?temping?????????????????"

Compared with ????, it has much less effect on the flow rate.

The tuning of the grinder setting is extremely important for getting a good espresso. Tamping can also change the flow rate, but the extent is not as great as that of grinding.
