Hi there,
I'm deciding betweenn Krups XP4020 and Gaggia Evolution. Can anyone comment on the pros and cons of these two machines please?
I'm currently using the base model (cheapest model) of Delonghi and the milk frosting function really sucks. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated!

I have an old Delonghi EC200CD and a Feima grinder from Landy/Fresh Coffee.
The boiler on this machine just doesn't seem 'strong' enough. To froth enough milk for two cups of cappuccinos, the light indicator (that indicates the boiler is hot enough for frothing) will go off in the middle of frothing the milk. I will then have to stop and wait for the indicator to light up again before continuing. Is this the same for the Krups 4020?
Also, does anyone grind coffee at the number 2 setting on the Feima grinder? It seems too fine for this old espresso machine - either that or its getting tired and doesn't have enough pressure to squeeze the espresso out. I need to use the 2.5 setting otherwise the espresso won't come out. |

Hi Goof 
2.5 setting is ok ar
remember that grinding finer will not necessarily result in a better espresso, the key is to get the correct grind. (for instance, grind coarser reduces channelling)
so how does your espresso taste at 2.5? can you post up a video?
