No but it looks just like the one recommended by SM with different brand name though. 1200W and claimed to be produced by a PRC subsidiary of Sany0.

I have ever bought a corn popper from mainland via taobao.com. Cost plus courier fee about $130. function OK, 1200W. A good starting point for roasting but don't expect too much and difficult to manage. It easily goes into 2nd crack (the temp. rise too fast) within a few minutes meanwhile the dehydration is far from satisfactory. The product used to be sour and earthy but look dark.

I used to roast with popcorn machine before I bought my i-roast. My friend provided me a thermo controller to improve the roasting profile.
You can also do so with the following items:
1. thermo controller 0-399C
2. SSR 240V 25A
3. K-type thermocouple (1.6mm dia. 150mm L)
4. transformer to provide power for the thermo controller. (voltage depend on makes and model)
The thermo controller take the temperature measured by the thermocouple and maintain the set temperature by turning on /switching off the heater when the measured temperature deviated by certain degrees.
Initially the controller is set to the dehydration temperature. The thermocouple is immersed into the coffee beans to measure the temperature. When the desired dehydration time is reached, change the roasting temperature as appropriate.
Stop roasting when the desired darkness is reached.
This is a small investment with great result. Unfortunately, the batch size is too small.

I don't know how much but my friend use second hand component from Aplui St. I think it costed him less than $200.
Actually, no modification was done to the popcorn maker. The thermo controller was built as a stand alone unit with a power socket to which the popcorn maker is plugged.
If you have no knowledge on electronic, ask your friend who have knowledge to built one for you.
